Last date for
applications at our V/I office will be 1st of April 2010.
Please be informed
that as from 06th April 2010 VFS shall be operating
from the new office.
Important note for all applicants:
Please note that for technical reasons the Embassy of Belgium is requiring all applicants to submit the new style E-passport with immediate effect.
From now henceforth the Belgium Visa Application Centre will no longer accept applications from all travelers with the old style MRZ passport.
Important note on appointments:
Please note that the Embassy requires a minimum of fifteen to twenty working days to process your application counted as from the day of submission of your application
According to the Passport (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act Chapter 343 Laws of
the Federation of Nigeria 1990
“It shall be an offence for any person- to have, hold or be in unauthorised
possession of more than one valid standard Nigerian passport.”
Therefore when submitting a new passport, you should cancel the previous
passport.
All valid visas in that passport will remain valid.
When you decide not to submit your previous passports your travel history will
not be taken into consideration.
Dear applicant,
Please be informed that with effect from 1st August,2009,those who
are willing to apply for Belgium Visa in Abuja, have to visit VF Global
Services Nigeria Limited centre in Abuja for the submission
No more direct application will be accepted at Belgium Embassy Abuja.
The passport collection will also take place at VF Global Services Nigeria Ltd
centre.
From 1st August,09, applicant need not to take any
appointment date to visit VFS centre, Abuja and within given stipulated
submission time, any applicant can go and submit his or her application himself
or herself only provided having minimum required documents for submission.
This will be the second centre besides Lagos at Lekki.
The address and timing of submission of application and collection
of passports are as follows:

Submission Timing:
08.00am to 02.00pm (Except holidays observed by
Belgium Embassy & other public holidays, if observed)
Passport Collection Timing:
08.00am to 03.00pm (Except holidays
observed by Belgium Embassy & other public holidays, if observed.)
All
applicants will submit their applications to VFS Application Centre with the
following exceptions
i
Holders of Diplomatic Passports
ii
Spouses/husbands of EU Citizens. Children of EU citizens.)
Thèse
groups can/will apply directly to the Embassy,
except
If
they voluntarily opt or prefer to submit at the VFS Visa Application Centre, in
which case service charges
must be borne by the applicant and
paid at the Centre only.
Interviews
Submission
at any Visa Application Centre does not foreclose the possibility of an
interview. An applicant may be invited by the Embassy if the need arises to do
so.
Interviews
are compulsory for
Student Visas and Family Réunion.... applicants in this category should have a
mindset on this, as they can be called upon anytime for the interview in
Abuja
