The Embassy of Belgium in the Abuja is pleased to announce the opening of their Visa Application Centre operated by VFS Global Services Nigeria Limited in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. This service is available to all Nigerian Nationals and other Nationalities with valid resident permit for Nigeria who wish to apply for a Belgium, Luxemburg, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Estonia Visa.
Belgium is responsible for visa application which the main destination is
Belgium, Luxemburg, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Estonia.
The Embassy of Belgium will only process Short stay visas for the following Countries; Netherlands, Estonia and Lithuania.
The Belgium Visa Application Centre in Abuja will process visa applications for Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Lithuania and Estonia.

If applicants wish to apply for a visa for Belgium Luxemburg, Lithuania, the
Netherlands and Estonia. We strongly recommend that they read the information
on this site. The provided guidelines on this site are to help them prepare
their application as accurately as possible and to prevent any processing
All applicants will submit
their applications to VFS Application Centre with the following exceptions
Please note you can submit your visa application up to 3 months prior to your date of travel
||To avoid any disappointment, applicants are advised to submit their complete files at least three working weeks before the intended date of departure.
Holders of Diplomatic Passports
||Spouses/husbands of EU Citizens. Children of EU citizens.
Thèse groups can/will apply directly to the Embassy, Spouses/husbands and children of EU-citizens can apply directly at the Embassy after obtaining a prior appointment by an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
If they voluntarily opt or prefer to submit at the VFS Visa Application Centre,

must be borne by the applicant
and paid at the Centre only.
Submission at any Visa Application Centre does not foreclose the possibility of
an interview. An applicant may be invited by the Embassy if the need arises to

Applicants are requested to read the following steps carefully before
submitting their application at the Belgium Visa Application Center, Lagos and

||Make a clear copy of all the original documents, three clear copy of passport
data pages and applicant’s any previous visas.

Please be informed that due to the Schengen Consultation process, the visa processing time is a minimum of 15 working days which begins after an applicant had taken biometrics at VFS Global.
